Low-Calorie Shrimp Fra Diavolo Recipe

3⁄4 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Salt and black pepper to taste 1⁄2 Tbsp olive oil 2 tsp red pepper flakes 1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced 1⁄4 tsp dried oregano or thyme 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes 1 cup dry white wine 8 oz spaghetti 2 Tbsp chopped flat-leaf parsley

Add a little salt and pepper to the shrimp. In a large skillet or sauté pan, heat the oil over medium heat.

When the shrimp are just firm, add them and simmer for one to two minutes. Transfer to a plate.

Add the onion, garlic, oregano, and pepper flakes to the pan and simmer until the onions are tender.

Simmer for ten to fifteen minutes after adding the tomatoes and wine. In the meantime, prepare the spaghetti as directed on the package.

Empty and put back into the pot. Add pepper and salt to taste the sauce.

Mix the sauce with the cooked shrimp. After adding the pasta, mix. Garnish with the parsley and serve.
